Initiating Orthopaedics Care – A Humble Beginning
Dr. K. H. Sancheti, affectionately known as KHS, began his remarkable journey in 1965 when he established Pune’s first dedicated Orthopaedics Hospital with just 10 beds at Motwani Hospital on JM Road. With a vision to revolutionize orthopaedic care in India, he laid the foundation for what would become a center of medical excellence and innovation.
His small 10-bed facility soon became a hub of hope and healing, introducing advanced orthopaedic techniques and compassionate patient care. This humble beginning marked the start of a legacy that transformed Pune’s healthcare landscape and inspired generations of orthopaedic surgeons.
