Dr. Chetan Puram brings over three decades of experience in orthopaedic trauma and limb reconstruction, with a special focus on the Ilizarov technique, deformity correction, and limb salvage surgery. As a Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon at Sancheti Hospital, Pune, he is recognised as one of the few surgeons in India with advanced Ilizarov training from leading centres in Italy and Germany. His expertise spans complex trauma, infected non-unions, joint reconstruction, and limb lengthening procedures. Beyond clinical practice, Dr. Puram is actively involved in academic research and orthopaedic education, with peer-reviewed publications, leadership roles at national trauma conferences—including Co-Chairman of the Pune Trauma Operative Course (PTOC) 2024—and invited webinars on complex trauma management. He is also an active member of leading professional organisations, including the Indian Orthopaedic Association, Association of Spine Surgeons of India, and the Trauma Society of India.
